¡Bienvenidos a Español! Welcome to English!
Hola, my name is Rachel Bulszewicz and I currently teach Spanish 1 Honors, Spanish 2 Honors, and English 10 at Hartland High School! I am originally from Puerto Rico and I feel very fortunate to be teaching Spanish 1 H, Spanish 2 H, and English 10 to high school students! I very much enjoy teaching them about the language and love being able to share my cultural background as well! I hope to be able to share my love of reading and writing in both languages, too.
Spanish 1 Honors is a year long course for 9th grade students (mostly) and they can earn the credit for one of two required years of high school world language; after successfully completing one year. They are able to do so through a variety of language activities, projects, and other assessments.
I also teach Spanish 2 Honors where students return and complete their second year of world language requirement. It is our hope that through the Honors track, these students will continue their language study for all four years (eventually taking Spanish 4) and have it lead to fluency in Spanish!
I will also be teaching English 10 where students will continue to strengthen their reading, writing, listening, and thinking skills in English. There will be a focus on writing four major pieces, including a literary analysis and formal research paper. We will also be reading a variety of novels throughout the year, some of which will be student choice.
I look forward to teaching all these different subject areas and having an exciting year at Hartland High School!
Feel free to explore my website and contact me via email with any questions or concerns. ¡Gracias!
